HAMILTON, ON, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Baffin announces its role as presenting sponsor of Chasing Antarctica, a new documentary chronicling Canadian endurance athlete Connor Emeny’s record-setting feat: becoming the first person to complete an Iron-distance triathlon on each of the seven continents. In 2020, Emeny set out to compete in his first Ironman, a single-day endurance event comprising a 3.86-kilometre swim, 180-kilometre bike ride and 42.2-kilometre run. What began as a personal goal quickly grew in scale. At 26, Emeny became the youngest person in the world to finish an Iron-distance race on six continents. Having accomplished this milestone, he turned his attention to the seventh continent: Antarctica. The film captures Emeny’s trek to Antarctica, the final and most formidable chapter in his historic undertaking. From the physical rigours of racing in one of the world’s harshest settings to the logistical and mental pressures of a self-supported expedition, the film reveals what it took to turn an ambitious dream into a world-first achievement.
