Seven locally owned shops commit $16,800 annually in scholarships, plus paid internships, hands-on training and career coaching for students in the district’s Auto Jobs program
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA), a leading automotive repair franchise, announced today that seven of its locally owned locations across Douglas County have launched a new partnership with the Douglas County School District to sponsor its Auto Jobs program, giving local high school students a direct path from the classroom into careers as automotive technicians.

The participating shops in Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Roxborough, Parker North, Parker South, Castle Rock and Lone Tree will each contribute $200 per month to a district fund that provides scholarships for students who are unable to cover the cost of the program. Together, the shops will invest $16,800 in scholarship funding each year.
Beyond financial support, each participating location will offer one paid internship to a top-performing student currently enrolled in the program, with schedules built around the student’s coursework. Interns who complete the program will keep a Technician Starter Tool Set provided by CBA, giving them the equipment they need to begin their careers.
“Every shop in our industry is looking for skilled technicians, and the students in this program are the people who will be fixing Douglas County’s cars for years to come,” said Chris Longo, owner of Christian Brothers Automotive Littleton. “We want to meet them early, show them what a career in this field can look like and remove as many barriers as we can along the way. For a student who has the talent but not the funds, a scholarship and a set of tools can change everything.”
The partnership also brings CBA owners, service managers and technicians directly into the learning process. Throughout the year, the shops will provide on-site technical training at the school’s facilities or at CBA locations, coordinated with the district’s program advisor. Participating owners will also donate vehicles for students to work on as they become available, lead coaching sessions twice a year on interviewing skills and career planning and take part in district career fairs to connect students with opportunities in the automotive industry.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our students to gain real-world experience and explore careers in a growing industry, right here in their own community,” said DCSD Superintendent Erin Kane. “Thanks to the generosity of Christian Brothers Automotive and the support of our voters through the bond measure, we are creating meaningful pathways that can help keep tomorrow’s workforce here in our county. We are incredibly grateful to our community for investing in our students and their future.”
The partnership comes as demand for qualified automotive technicians continues to grow nationwide. By investing in students while they are still in school, the Douglas County CBA owners aim to strengthen the local workforce and help young people see the skilled trades as a rewarding, long-term career.
